I picked up 2 Eagles pennants recently that I've never come across before. The first is a 1941 Eagles pennant that predates their Green uniforms (in 1941 they wore blue and gray. I have a pennant with the same military looking Eagle that has Green and White colors. |

Wonderful pickups, Mike! I especially love the Naps/LaJoie Piece. Those sure don't surface very often! |

Mike... Great point! That's why I prefer memorabilia to cards, as well. I am sure that your LaJoie Scorer is far rarer than any of his cards (including the fabled 1933 Goudey). |

Great pickups Mike!!! There are Lajoie cards that I would argue are much rarer than the watch fob, but I agree there are no better bargains in this hobby than some of the memorabilia items. I'd much rather have that fob than many of his cards that go for 10x the price. |

It seems as though one of those Omaha moundsmen has got the Lovesick Blues after feasting on a bowl of Jambalaya. It's crazy. |

Just picked this up--the cap worn by pitcher Marty McHale during his 1913-1915 tenure with the Yankees. |

It's certainly retained its color wonderfully. I'm sure you'll be enjoying that one for years to come. |

It's also amazing that the cap was signed. David, was the cap signed in cursive or printed style? McManus' autograph is of course a fairly easy acquisition, but that statistic gets thrown out the window when dealing with something this unique and displayable. |

These came from two different sources (the 1907 from last night's Hunt auction, the other two a result of a B/S/T transaction). Can anyone confirm that Lajoie guides were produced only in 1906, '07 and '08? I'm sure I once knew the years but have forgotten and cannot find the source of the info. Any help would be appreciated. |

Here's a photo I just picked up on eBay of the 1942 James Madison High School baseball team. Evidently, they won the Brooklyn city championship. Cal Abrams, who later played on the Dodgers, reportedly was on the team. I'm guessing he's standing, the third guy on the right ... |

Nice little pennants Jerry. Sorry I cant provide any additional info on them but would like to say thanks for posting the link to the Rock-ola game. Something I never get tired of seeing. Dont think there is any one item I would rather have than that game. Simply amazing. That pennant is a really unique, cool advertising piece for the game. Nice find and thanks for sharing. |

The Indians played some games in League Park through the 1946 season, I believe. I have some ticket stubs from the 1940s that have two seat locations printed on them: one if that game was at League Park and another if the game was at Cleveland Stadium. |

There were no closeup shots of Gehrig, but he may be in a few of the photos with many players in it. I think these photos probably originated from a former player since most of them were taken on the field or from the dugout. |

You should send the Werber pic to be signed. Not that it would add much value to the piece, but it's always neat to have something signed by a centenarian after he's reached that milestone! Knowing Bill, he would most likely send along a handwritten note attesting to the fact that the vintage ink is not in his hand!!! He's a class act. |
