I say the best way to combat it is to inform and teach the buyers. So far I have emailed over 500 people (who were bidding on fakes) and told them about this message board. Many have stopped by. I think the best way is to educate. If there is no demand for forgeries then there will not be a supply. |

I have long advocated eduction. Sadly, however, there have always been foolish buyers and there always will be. It's not a coincidence that over a hundred years ago P.T. Barnum said, "There's a sucker born every minute" and, today, we are talking about people bidding in private auctions on obviously fake cards. |
