Nor is there enough of the other lot to pay many hospital bills.

Julie, I think it is a safe bet it is just a selling ploy nothing more nothing less. He has been using the same MO for a few months, and they seem to know exactly what they are doing.

While I agree that the need the dough to pay the bill scam is as old as the guy on the street who always seems to need a buck or two for gas for his non-existent car, I actually had one experience with a person who was selling off a great collection in the face of hospital bills associated with a terminal illness. Of course, the cards I got were real, rare and obviously sold by someone (his wife) who had no experience with card collecting. Like night and day when compared to the typical reprint crap we deal with.

Sounds like promsedtreasures, a very nice woman, nice cards, selling her husband's huge Obak collection. Most are gone now (I bought many). I would recommend her to everyone. Her husband is in really bad shape.
