Strange Cobb item

What does everyone think about this blank backed Cobb red portrait?

My intuitions tell me its a well-doctored reprint. If, in the inlikely case that it is not, what does everyone think it might be? An advertising cutout? A proof?

"1909 Ty Cobb baseball card???" says the seller in the title. This as blatently as is possible breaks eBay's policy concerning description of authenticity. As eBay eloquently states in its rule, "If don't know what it is, don't sell it."
