Weaver has several Minor League Cards from 1911. His first Major League card is the 1912 T207, which I consider to be his Rookie Card. It's up to you which one you feel is his Rookie Card. |

I agree with BH, the 207 Weaver is a very nice looking card. People who dislike the 207s on aesthetics dislike the brown and tan colors but they have a certain "moody" quality about them which is very appealing when the card is in nice shape. (My 2 cents worth) |

Some of the t207's are really cool, though I can see why many collectors don't like the set as a whole. I especially like the McGraw and some of the catcher cards. The thing that detracts most from the set in my view, is not the moodiness caused by the brown background and lack of color variety, but rather how ugly they look when registration is not dead-perfect. Cards such as Johnson and Reulbach looks particularly ghastly when not registered perfectly, since the likenesses aren't close to reality to begin with. |

Buck Weaver has a lot of "first cards" from his time in San Francisco.......... all are big$$ nowadays!...... 1910 E221 Bishop & Co. SF Team ($6,250), 1911 E100-1 Bishop & Co. ($1,850), 1911 E100-2 Bishop & Co. ($2,500), 1911 Gilmartin Printing Co. ($7,500), 1911 T212-3 Obak ($3,250), 1911 T4 Obak cabinets ($11,000), 1911 D310 Pacific Coast Biscuit ($3,250), 1911 Zeenut ($2,500), He has only one true "rookie" card the 1912 T207 ($1,100). especially Bob's idea that in presentable grade they sort of have a nice nostalgic feel about them and some of the short commentaries are appealing and confirming as well! I have been buying a few high grade hall of Famers here and there and they seem to be gaining momentum....I bought PSA 7 Tinker last year on e-bay for $190.00 and was surprised to see opne sell for $500 about six months ago. |

Like most of the 1911 Obak set, the Obak of Weaver also has an interesting write-up on the back, revealing his attributes in broad strokes in the distinctive, 1911 Obak style: |

I like what some of the cards say about him like the obak and the T207..since you really can't read the scan I posted it (the T207) says: |

Since Weaver didn't play for SanFrancisco until 1911, doe that mean that the E-221 Bishops is a 1911 issue not a 1910 issue? |
