Certainly people who consistently post about body fluids and excrement should be removed from this board - not just their more vile posts, but the offendor itself. I suggest that posts containing filth be removed as soon as they are found, as well as any responses - editing a post corrupts the intent.

I also challenge anyone on this board to dig up one single bit of useful information that Koos has added or caused to be added to this board.

Having once played moderator to a board (and not really knowing what I was getting myself into!), I ask the few of you to give Elliot a break with the off topic, personal posts. The original topic centered around a potentially suspect card being posted on ebay by a board frequentor....not the crap we're now reading. This board provides a much needed service to our hobby, but as of late....we're embarrassing ourselves. Some of us have forgotten that Elliot has offered us this service as a means to communicate (i.e. share, learn, debate) with our fellow collectors (I'm guilty as well!). One last thing....this is not Elliot's house/board....it's ours (and I think Elliot would agree). Right now....it's a mess!

I completely agree with what you said. Scott and Doc need to go to their respective corners for time outs. They can not play anymore until they promise to only talk about vintage cards.....personal posts can be taken off line......and let's do take it easy on Elliot....he is a family person with other things to do than patrol his other kids ie....us......regards all

Enjoy Koos and his filth. Mike, Leon, I made a very valid suggestion that filth be removed from the board. I realize that it is difficult for Elliot to monitor something like this, but unless you are condoning Koos' toilet mouth, then I don't understand what problem you have with this post.

This started off with someone questioning the legitimacy of a card.

And Leon, you make this out to be a fight between me and Koos - that IS NOT what this is about. I asked him repeatedly to defend the Mantle, and his reaction was filth. I'm a little disappointed that you are equating my behavior to his and I will gladly take a time-out.

Just like unwanted e-mails, you can always pass them and not read them. You can ignore posts of people if you'd prefer not to read what they may be saying.

But, I've met a lot of new friends on this board and thru vintage auctions. I enjoy the personalities, the humor, the occasional drama, the friendly jibes...I enjoy it all as much as I enjoy the valuable vintage card chat we have here.

I met with David Rudd and Jeff Obermeyer here in Seattle a few weeks back. I had never met either of them before and we talked and drank coffee for more than a couple hours. JUST ABOUT CARDS? No, about all sorts of crap...as we got to know each others interests more, we talked universally. Christ! Mellow out, people...we have all sorts of personalities on this board! Enjoy them or ignore them, but please don't make attempts to curtail, edit or ban certain types of discussion here. I just DON'T see that as part of this function here at all.

Even from anger or good arguments across this board I've learned a lot about real vintage cards, forgeries, a lot of stuff. Please...as equally as I dislike those who ban certain books, let's not start banning certain conversations, or people. It's just not cool.

He laughed at one of my cynical jokes once. I don't know if that's good or not; and does that reflect fairly/poorly on me or Doc? I could elaborate further, but all I see around me are dead horses.
