Slightly off topic, but of interest to those who collect rowing, I am posting on my site, for Black History month next month, this blog entry I created for a professional rower from the 1870s, who broke the color barrier for rowing at the time. His name is Frenchy A. Johnson. Thought others may find the read interesting.
