Default New Vintage Collector from NJ

Hey everyone, my name is Tom and I am in NJ. I used to collect cards when I was a kid, including even having my own eBay consignment business starting in 2004 when I was 14. I took a break from the hobby for a few years and over the last few years, I got back into collecting sports memorabilia (mainly autographed baseballs/cuts/bats of baseball HOFers), but now I am jumping into headfirst the vintage card world.

I am mainly looking for Aaron/Williams/Koufax/Jackie/Clemente/Mantle/Mays from their runs from 1948-1970. It will be a long (and expensive!) list but I have already made a little dent and it brings me back joy to receive cards in the mail or doing a deal at a show.

I have over 3,400+ 100% eBay feedback (italydad123) with over 4.5K lifetime items sold.

I look forward to hopefully making a few deals and growing (and helping others!) collections.

Thanks
Tom

Welcome to the fray!!

Here is a vintage card. They are fun to collect. And there are an infinite number of ways to collect them. A lot of us like nice, big borders as there is less of a chance of trimming..

Welcome to the site, Tom! You picked some blue chip ballplayers to collect. I know you will find many members on this board to buy from and trade with.

Your entrepreneurial skills should come in handy here. What did you used to sell on Ebay?

I'm just on the other side of Philly in North Hollywood, CA.

It's almost like we're all neighbors.

Welcome to Fantasy Island.

Here's my favorite Aaron.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I've already started my journey with a few nice pickups (54 Jackie, 53 Bowman Mantle, etc), so I am on my way!
