Default New Guy from California RayW

Greetings!

I am a new member from San Francisco, but have been seriously collecting since 1971. I spent over thirty years working for a Fortune 500 company and have multiple degrees in probability and statistics.

I have been a life long San Francisco Giants fan and collect Willie Mays and some Buster Posey cards. I have a complete regular issue run of Mays from 1951 Bowman and 1952 Topps on, as well as many test issues. The attached photo should include Coca Cola Mays, Stahl Meyer Mays, and Home Run Derby Mays. I hope I attached the file correctly.

I am also a long time football and basketball collector. My favorite football players are Joe Montana and recent HOF inductee, Patrick Willis. My favorite basketball player is Julius “ Dr. J” Erving.

Here are a few older cards in my personal stash.

I also collect nonsports with 1962 Mars Attacks being my personal favorite.

I also collect older comic books.

I look forward to learning more from the knowledgeable and very erudite members of this forum. The cards in the photos are not for sale, so please do not ask.

All the best,

Ray W

Welcome to the Friendly Confines of Net54, Ray. Been a Giants fan myself since 1905. Saw them play in the Polo Grounds as a child and later at the 'Stick when I lived on the Peninsula in the '80s. The Bay Area was a great place to be a sports fan back in those days. Giants, A's, Niners, Raiders, Warriors and all good at once. Loved to grab a coffee and a perusal of the Greenie each morning before I commenced my day. A happy chapter in my life.

Half of what I write is malarkey. More fun that way.

Welcome Ray!

Was just in SF recently and it was as beautiful as always. The Paris of the West.

I was fortunate enough to visit Candlestick before it was demolished but think I like the new stadium a little better. :-)

Great Say Hey Kid cards you have there...
