I'm hoping someone can assist. I found this Gehrig card in a collection I'm sorting through but I can't place it. The back is blank. Can anyone recognize it from this photo?

Looks like one of the 1970s SSPC/TCMA, etc. cards.

Looking at that font and the quality, I say fantasy card soaked in tea.

Font identification says Fluro Semibold. Which is a font made in Australia in 2019.

I agree with both the above posts..... its probably a copy "aged" to look old of a 1975 TCMA collector issue..... this one ( not doctored up) is on eBay now...https://www.ebay.com/itm/16620712512...Bk9SR7rWiZ-nZA

If tea does that to a card, imagine what it does to your teeth.

A very rare and worthless card from the Phony Baloney set of recent years.

That card looks much older than it really is. I assume this card was baked in an oven to get its yellow “patina.” Just goes to show that we must be extremely careful when buying cards.

It was a reused tea bag.

Not a good reprint. Some are better than others. This is on the low end. [/B] Quote:
