Default The Image That might have been used for Stan Musials 1950 Bowman.

Hi everybody, it has been a while since I've done a for fun post on the forum. So I figured I would change that tonight. I recently got a few original George Dorrill Photos from 1948-1950.

Georges photos were used for many late 40s bowman and early 50s bowman Cardinals cards (maybe other teams too I'm not sure). Many of Georges photos are easily recognizable by the players beaming smiles.

Anyway, I have an original photo of Stan from 1948 by George that could well have been used for Stans 1950 Bowman. While the cardinals switched uniforms in 1949 there was still at least 3 cards in the '50 bowman set with players pictured wearing a pre '49 flannel. Of course he probably took tons of photos but its just fun to think about this maybe being used for a card that never was. It's a really nice shot that would no doubt be a favorite and rival to stans '53 BC.

Kid in the background probably not likely to have been included lol.
