Some Type 1 photos used for Cards IN my Collection.
      This one is not used for a card but what a work of Art; sporting 42 on his chest.. helmet in the air.. sliding into home at an camera angle I didn’t know was even allowed. Gorgeous IMO.  Cards are not mine...for visual only.

Jackie the editor
In 1953 Jackie served as editor for Our Sports magazine. While it ran for only five issues it was not just some puff mag. It asked questions like willthere be a black manager and are the Yankees ever going to play a black player. This was big controversial stuff and this was when Jackie was an active player. Can you even imagine that today. The only parallel today would be if there was an active out gay player and mid career they put out a magazine wondering when the Tigers will accept a gay player. Amazing and overlooked

postcard-sized, blank back, image as seen on the 1949 comic book "Compliments of Nat Story's Orchestra" in tiny print above "Brooklyn Dodgers", with "Nat Story's Orchestra" hand written at right to the right of his cap is a small baseball graphic with "Robinson .366" . Really nice items of Jackie. Don`t have too many pieces myself but enclosed is this photo of Jackie during one of his initial workouts in the minors. Wish it had better registration but being so early in his career, couldn`t pass it up.

Just stumbled on this one from eBay. Fragile condition but not often does a program from April 17th, 1947 come up for sale. Jackie Robinson’s first MLB hit (a bunt single to third) and Duke Snider’s MLB debut. Jackie’s debut on Opening Day drew about 26k, but the follow-up only had about 10k in attendance. Today is the 77th anniversary!
