I wanted to see if anyone had any information about these. I picked up three of these 1939 double sided international baseball school ads. They were originally folded and part of a nos collection of 5-6. I believe they are 100 percent original. One side includes a peel/tear off mail in application. Hopefully you can read them but I could not find any record of the company or event. The paper is pretty thick but still foldable. Graphics are in dark blue ink. They measure 17x22.

Did you get them at Brimfield? If so, what days did you go? I was there all week.
The posters are real but there were a lot in the original find (50-100). I know the dealer who found them (I tried to buy the whole stack several years ago). They look really cool and are a relatively inexpensive way to get a cool poster from the period. Alan |

Alan, I did get them in Brimfield yesterday in the very back of j&j field with the big barn. Thanks for the additional info the dealer was down to 5-6 and I bought 3 thinking I would trade/sell two and keep one. From the research I’ve done it seems like the promotion failed or the company failed fairly quickly but it is an awesome graphic and a lot of hofers for a reasonable price.

It is definitely cool and displays well. That is the dealer who found them originally (Tom) as I saw him yesterday at the back of J and J (now called Auction Acres I think). Did you find anything else?
Yesterday I bought a Ruth snapshot (swinging a golf club) and a bunch of 1960s color negatives of baseball HOFers and stars and some other items. I had seen the Ruth and the negatives Tuesday (at 5:30am) but they were priced higher than I wanted to pay. Both dealers discounted the price by half yesterday which made them decent buys. Alan |

I didn’t find anything else but anything sports related and decent seemed priced high. General antiques were priced much more reasonable. I mostly go to price items and check trends. And for fun, of course.
