When Mike above mentioned Clete Boyer I relooked at it closely and thought he had it right. Then I found his 57 Topps card and he has a very similar glove to the one in the photo I posted.
Now I see Twig16 agrees so I think that puts it to bed. Thanks to all

I saw Clete Boyer hit his first home run, it was at Briggs Stadium in August,1956. First game I ever saw. KC beat the Tigers 5 to3.
That was a long while ago, I believe Hoss Radbourn was pitching for Detroit.

That is NOT Clete Boyer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We all know what Clete Boyer looks like. His face is familiar to everyone, yet you're saying the round-faced, elfin man is the long-faced, burly, 'cheekless' Boyer????
