Ron Blomberg Locker Nameplate
I saw where Ron Blomberg will be throwing out the first pitch at Yankee Stadium tomorrow to commemorate the 50th anniversary of him being the first DH in baseball history..
Years ago I purchased an auction lot of visiting player locker nameplates from the Kingdome (primarily to obtain the Ripken one that was included in that lot) and one of the guys in the lot was Blomberg. It really shows little to no wear because Blomberg was injured in '77 and didn't play...The next season (his final one) he wore #10 for Chicago... Still a neat piece to look at:
