Another 1907 Red Belts postcard question??

When looking at the Net54 Postcard website they break down the 12 cards issued in this series. They state that the card entitled "It's All in The Game-NOISE" pictures "Reds manager Pat Moran". When doing a google search on Moran it states that in 1907 he would have been playing for the Cubs and wasn't the Reds manager until 1919 (beat the Sox in the BlackSox scandle). So, does this card really picture Moran, or someone else.

Ned Hanlon was the team's manager in 1906-07. Is it possible it's him? I don't recall ever seeing him in uniform as a manager, though ... if not Hanlon, could it be another image of Huggins? I compared the two images and there is a resemblance ...

Anyone got any insight on this? I dont think the image can be Moran based on the fact he was playing for the Cubs at the time of issue.

I'm the guy who made the Red Belt identifications (concurrently on Net54 and the VintageBall site). The Moran mention simply was a mistake -- plain and simple.

Of course, it was interesting to see the SCD Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards pick up all the identifications and add them to their checklist (including the mistake). And...since they took all the info from these IDs (and others on VintageBall) without attribution or a credit in the acknowledgements, they get to take credit for the mistake as well!

It's been corrected on VintageBall.com.

Also, I agree it does resemble Huggins, but who knows?

Robert - I enjoy your vintageball web site - but as to the cabinet card with one of the players ID'd as Chauncey Fisher (it's not clear which one is supposed to be Fisher) - neither is Fisher.

And and as to the Bradley vs Stahl controversy - there should be none as it is Bradley.\

Reviving this thread after 14 years! I just got this, which seems to be a variant and not the standard background and text. And definitely not Pat Moran, good to know! Would love to hear thoughts on this one!
