Hi all: Curious if anyone knows about the 1932 Olympics book titled Handbuch des Sports which means Handbook of Sports. I bought one about a year ago and it has around 100 stickers in it of a lot of the participants that were in this Olympic event. Since the Olympics were in Los Angles that year it happened that it has a beautiful sticker of Babe Ruth as well.
I've seen psa and sgc have been grading these and have seen grade Authentic all the way up to 8.5 so far. The problem is to get it graded you must get the sticker off of the book as it is glued in. I have also seen damaged to the book and of the sticker as the back has printing on it and will stay on the page or just make a mess out of the sticker. I've call book restoration place but nobody will touch it.
I have seen a lot of them come through and this is certainly a very unique book and it is all if German printing. I wanted to keep the book initially but It came here and has a very limited amount of them out there.
So my question is does anyone have any knowledge of how to get the stickers of of the pages? They are also very thin and could easily tare.
thank you
