Default So Now Both FED-EX and UPS Are Doing THIS

I've noticed over the past 2 weeks that both FED-EX and UPS are now leaving packages at or propped up against my garage door when they deliver to my house. The placement of the packages is usually such that they are not visible by the camera that is triggered in the car when you back up. We now have to remember to physically walk behind our car to make sure we do not run over a package when we pull out of our garage. We were lucky the first time this happened---we almost inadvertently ran over a package containing a vintage NFL bobblehead.

I'm going to call UPS over the latest delivery gaffe tomorrow. If anyone else is having the same problem (e.g., delivery person not actually bringing the package to the door or doorstep when there are no reasons not to), then please consider also calling UPS (or FED-EX) to complain. I suspect this is an example of laziness rather than an acceptable policy or practice.
