Shoeless Joe had a BA of over .400 after his first 2 full seasons, although he did not hit that mark both years.

I know it is not Roger Hornsby but he hit over .400 times in career and 2 of those times were part of him winning the triple crown.
Great player and I believe under appreciated Now back to the regularity scheduled trivia. I to thought it was Joe Jackson but I believe he only did it once in his career

I hope this isn't someone who had two cups of coffee with 10 at bats.

This is tougher than I thought since I can recall no player let alone HOFer that started his career with 2 straight.400 years.
Unless I am over thinking or under thinking the question. Great question Sadly I will have to wait for more clues. Lol

He hit .444 his first year in the majors, .429 his second year, and won batting titles the next 2 years.

So the first 2 years has to cups of coffee. I say Tony Oliva.

Yes. The Twins knew they had a gem in Oliva and brought him along at just the right pace. They had Oliva and Jimmie Hall in their system and brought Hall up in 1963. He had a great year, beating Ted William's record for home runs by a rookie. With the extra year of experience in the Minors, Oliva then came up in 1964 and won the batting title, and again the next year too.

Right. And notice how I worked Tony's teammate, Jimmie Hall, into the answer, who's 1966 Topps card is my avatar.
