A Bisque Baseball player whos had a extremely hard life-- although badly damaged and poor condition still has some decent eye appeal as is--possibly a fun hobby project for someone who enjoys repairing if desired? Can someone maybe help identify this item ??--

I have that mold as whiskey ad for display in liquor stores. Memory says Kessler, but different colors and name on jersey, but same mold I think. A start at least.

Man that has great eye appeal as it is right now. As long as you arent looking down from the Goodyear blimp .... Id say display it just above eye level and leave it alone!!! Rocky

Since I don't collect old baseball figurines I'm planning to offer on BST. My ideal was to get some information for the listing--thanks again!

Believe that would be porcelain as I see a gloss...bisque would be flat finish not glossy...I believe that figure was used by Antique Whiskey and also Kessler's Whiskey as advertising...they came in table top size and waist high size (made of a rigid resin type material and displayed in stores, in the 1960's I think)...what's v different about it is usually the "Kessler" or "Antique" name is on the chest...so seems like an anomaly...

From the closeup it looks like the branding was just a decal and easily removed. |

Based on my experience doing amateur restorations on bobbin’ head dolls, your piece wouldn’t be hard to spiff up.
