1968 Topps 6-card team lot of the DETROIT LIONS, featuring ALEX KARRAS, JIM GIBBONS, TOM NOWATZKE, RON KRAMER, WAYNE WALKER and KARL SWEETAN. This lot grades overall EX-MINT with bright colors, original gloss, strong centering and just a whisper of corner wear.

Karl Sweetan
About 10 years ago I was playing blackjack at Harrah's on the Vegas Strip. Dealer saw the Raiders cap I was wearing and asked if I was a football fan and where I was from.
"Michigan," I told her and I was a big Raiders fan. "My Dad played QB for the Detroit Lions," she said. "Really, what's his name?" "Karl Sweetan." She went on to say that after his NFL career, he moved to Vegas and became a card dealer. She followed in his footsteps, pitching cards, not footballs. He's passed away, but his legacy lives on...
