I tried to find this on PSA's website and in a search on these boards, but I am not smart enough to craft a search sufficient to get my answer. So, I hope this question is not too much of an imposition to the community:
Does anybody know if you add a PSA "Authentic" card to your PSA registry what the impact would be? I understand most qualifiers you just deduct 2 grades, and then at a certain point you reach PSA 1, and you can't go any lower. But, technically, a "PSA Authentic" is not even eligible for a PSA 1 grade. So, I was curious what the net effect would be. Does it just default to a PSA 1. Somehow come in with a "PSA 0" score, so you get credit for the card but hit to your weight? Or, will it not register on the Registry at all? The thought occurred to me when I was reviewing the threat about the "Authentic" T206 Wagner. If I needed that for a set and acquired that exact card, would it satisfy the requirement? I realize this is truly a "what does it really matter" type question. But, since I have a Set Registry entry that might one day call for me to sell all of my worldly possessions for a T206 Wagner, I was curious what an "Authentic" would do. Thanks. |

PSA Authentic (A) will default to PSA 1 for the score on the PSA Registry. So the final tally will be this score times the weight, just like a PSA 1.
