I'm guessing that is Jay Hook? He was #47 on the Reds from 1957 to 1961.

Good afternoon,
It could be a proof of a Reds-issued postcard. There's postcards of similar design for both Johnny Temple (Reds: 1952-59 ) and Charlie Rabe (Reds: 1957-58) on Ebay but they have the standard postcard backs. Reds postcard.jpg
