FS: 1953 Topps Near Set - Raw - VGEX+ (221/274 cards) (SOLD)

For sale is a partial 1953 Topps set. Here are the particulars:

* 221 of the 274 cards are present here, including most of the high numbers
* there are 8 cards where I have duplicates, including the desirable Duane Pillette high number, and both copies are very clean. So you get a total of 229 cards
* all cards are sleeved and in cardsavers
* I'm not a professional grader but I traded to give all the cards a good look when I received them, and I try to undergrade if anything. I've noted the stains/wrinkles/OC/MC as I've found them, hopefully I got them all.

Generally speaking, the cards are very nice quality. A few have edge issues, a few have wrinkles (no hard creases that I saw) and a number of them are off center or miscut, but I've noted that where I saw it, and I took that into account when trying to give the card a grade. I'm including scans of the HoFs and a few of the more desirable high numbers. If you want a scan of a card I didn't include here, let me know. I'll post the checklist here with my raw grade and the notes. Then I will post the scans in the 2nd post.



To assemble this set piece by piece, you'd pay a fortune for shipping, and around $4-5 per card for the commons, and much more for the high numbers. The Haddix would probably cost you $200-250 alone, and the Bolling likely the same. The Newhouser would set you back $100+. I think you are getting a good value here, with very few cards in the lot here needing to be upgraded if you'd like to complete this at mid-grade.
