So, my wife ordered some shoes on-line July 8. The order got to Grove City, Ohio that day and sat there for 5 days before going to Indianapolis, IN on the 13th. After two days it got to Countryside, Illinois on the 15th. Traveled to Attica, KS on the 16th, visited Belen, NM the same day before hitting Flagstaff, AZ. The next day, the 17th, it traveled to Helendale, CA, then on to Rialto, CA on the 18th before going to Bloomington, CA the same day. It is scheduled for delivery on the 19th in Santa Ana, CA.
Really, no direct trucks from Ohio to California during that entire period? Or because we picked the free 7-10 day delivery, did they decide to send it around the country to use up the 10 days? This couldn't be a profitable model for FEDEX with all of those people handling one package. |
