Default 1971 Topps high grade partial set

I'm thinking about selling my 1971 Topps baseball high grade partial set. There are 15 graded cards and over 500 different singles (at least 10 raw HOFers, checklists, leaders, high numbers, etc.). Raw cards are just as nice as the graded ones, mostly NM and better (emphasis on the "and better"). I tried to exclude anything Ex/Mt or less. I've attached a few pics that I snapped quickly, but more pics available to serious buyers.

A quick eBay search for completed sales shows that the Mays, Aaron, Clemente and Ryan are worth somewhere in the $1200 ballpark for just these 4.

To be honest, I don't want to put forth a lot of effort at this point since I'm just testing the waters, but if I have someone that's seriously interested, I can provide a lot more details and put a pen and paper to it and come up with an exact asking price. When I say serious buyer, you need to have a ballpark idea of the overall value because I don't want to waste my time and yours. I have no interest in breaking up the set, so please don't ask.

I've already had a couple of people inquire, so I'll come up with a price. I did a quick card count and here is what I came up with.

Series 1 (1-132) 102 cards
Series 2 (133-263) 102 cards
Series 3 (264-393) 95 cards
Series 4 (394-523) 101 cards
Series 5 (524-643) 59 cards
Series 6 (644-752) 48 cards

507 raw cards. 15 graded cards. 522 total cards is approximately 70% of the set.

I have updated the first post to include better pictures. For some reason, when I upload pictures from my phone, it reduces the image size. Anyway, these should be better.

My asking price is going to be $2350. Here is how I derived at that price. I took the last completed sale on eBay for each of the 15 graded cards and tallied the prices. Then I took 20% off that. I figure if I don’t have to take the time to scan the cards, create the listings, wait for the auction to end, wait for payment, pay 10% eBay fees, 3% PayPal fees, go to the post office, etc., then it’s worth 20% to me. I’m saving money on eBay and PayPal fees, so the buyer should save money too. So, my total was $2312.19. 80% of that would be $1849.75. Then I figured the 500+ raw cards were worth at least $500 (probably a lot more if you tallied the individual prices). So, $1849.75 + $500 = $2349.75. Let’s just make it an even $2350 net to me and I’ll cover shipping and insurance. My price is going to be pretty firm.

Last completed eBay sales:
Aaron - $380.00 - 3/16/2021
Mays - $380.00 - 1/29/2021
Ryan - $499.99 - 3/11/2021
Clemente - $323.00 - 1/25/2021
Jackson - No completed eBay sales for a 7, but a SGC 6.5 sold for $91.15 on 12/30/20, so I’m putting the value at $120.
Concepcion - No completed eBay sales for a 7, but the PSA equivalent goes for $100-$125, so I’m putting the value at $100.
Hunter - No completed eBay sales for a 7, but a PSA equivalent sold for $33.00, so that’s where I’m putting the value.
McCovey - No completed eBay sales for a 7, but a PSA equivalent sold for $43.00, so that’s where I’m putting the value.
Banks - $84.99 – 12/27/20
Gibson - No completed eBay sales for a 7, but the PSA equivalent goes for $170-$230, so I’m putting the value at $150.
Yaz - $39.27 - 3/11/21
Carlton - $30.00 - 3/17/21
Palmer - $47.00 - 3/16/21
McLain - No completed eBay sales for a 7, but a PSA equivalent sold for $62.00, so that’s where I’m putting the value.
Clarke - No completed eBay sales for a 7, but a PSA equivalent sold for $19.94, so that’s where I’m putting the value.

Total eBay value is $2312.19

Thanks to all that inquired. The lot was sold to dhicks67 as whole (including the Jackson) as he was the first to commit.
