Was wondering about how to establish value in an "uncut Sheet" does the value lie in it staying "uncut" or is there value in properly having the cards cut out and submitted for grading.......or does PSA grade something as "uncut"
Thank you, Joe U you can contact me direct at...... uhlhockey@aol.com |

interesting question, curious about this as well. like, how does PSA know if you cut the card yourself or if it came from a set or a pack? probably a stupid question but always wondered about that.

I am under the impression that PSA figures it out if you cut it yourself

Depends on the issue. Cards that cannot be obtained uncut ... I can think of at least 3 issuers will (or at least used to) get a number grade by PSA. Others like Topps sheets will receive an A - I believe that all the major graders are reasonably good at detecting handcut. My speciality has always been T206 cards and I can usually tell if something came factory cut or was hand trimmed. You can literally see the ‘roll edge’ caused by the printer’s cutting device, something that ordinary cutting methods cannot duplicate.
