Hi Guys:
I picked up these two photos in a group of other things. They are on a heavier paper than a magazine etc. The thing that is confusing to me is there are players from both leagues and multiple teams in the photo dated 1951 and neither of these do I believe are All Star teams due to the players shown. The photos MAY have been taken at the Boston Braves home field. I say this because of some of the other items that came in the lot. Maybe someone can ID that due to what appears to be chain link fence behind the dugouts. Could there have been an annual charity game ( Jimmy Fund??) or something like that. I can ID in the 1950 photo Front row L-R: ?? Yankee uniform and ?? hat, Rizzuto, Pesky, Stirnweiss, ???, Tebbets, ??? Back row L-R Hegan, Lopat, Hutchinson, McDermott, Kennedy, Ferrick, Gorth, Wertz and Dropo in the 1951 photo Front Row L- R ?? ( trainer?/), Hegan, Dropo, Pesky, Pellagrini (what's a Phillies player doing here??), Rosen, Tebbets Back row Coleman, Garcia, Wertz, Shea??, Thomson, McDermott, Maglie, ?? Any help appreciated |
