Bill Madlock 1983-86 Game Used Bat PSA/DNA Pittsburgh Pirates Louisville Slugger. - $350
This bat was used by Bill Madlock during the 1983-86 seasons. Madlock’s Louisville Slugger K48 model bat displays excellent game use and is un-cracked. There is checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact on the barrel, along with ball marks, stitch impressions, white leather scuff marks and black ink transfers. The handle was scored to enhance the grip and Madlock’s number “5” has been handwritten in silver marker on the knob. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B12802) for the game use.
Note that this bat was used during 1983, when Madlock won the last of his four National League batting titles with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He previously won batting titles in 1975 and 1976 (both with the Chicago Cubs), as well as in 1981 (with the Pirates). He also starred with the Texas Rangers, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants, and Detroit Tigers in his 15 year career, which included three All Star Game selections. Madlock also was a member of the 1979 “We Are Family” Pirates that won the World Series.
