The State of the Hobby Reflected on Jeopardy?
The young man who beat the long-standing champion (over 500K, but no Jeopardy James) yesterday, was being interviewed by Alex Trebec who said he understood they had something in common...Baseball Cards...'How many do you have?"- Hundreds of thousands was the answer...to which Alex stated he had only one...Ted Williams. 'Is it worth anything?' 'Well, it could be...we'll talk afterwards."
Well, the young man's time as champion was as fleeting as the values of modern cards...to quote 'Hawk': "HE GONE!'
