Mel Ott photo
A couple questions about this Mel Ott photograph, which you may also recognize from his Goudey, Diamond Stars, Butterfinger, and Worch Cigars baseball cards.
Seller claimed to have purchased in RObert Edward Auction about 20 years. Recalls buying it as a Conlon photo from 1929 or something around there. I am thinking it is not at all genuine. On the other hand I have never before seen this photo on the market, which at least makes me wonder if there might be something to it beyond cheap knock-off. Let me know if you have any thoughts.
