I'll start this show with my "fatter' (than typical) AB 350 frame card of Davy Jones....singer with the Monkees

This one has bigger than normal borders for an AB

I showed the Cravath in the Big Borders thread, but it definitely belongs here. It's width is almost on the large size for a normal T206 (note that the Manning shown is probably slightly wider than a typical T206). The Doyle is shown as a more typical width American Beauty for comparison.

I’m not a t206 guy, but I’ve always wondered why the ABs were, generally, more svelte than their t206 brethren. I’ve read the theories about pack size being a factor, but that never sat well with me.
Perhaps a more definitive answer exists? |

Mark
As you noted, I like these "fatter" AB cards because the entire stylized frame design is usually perfectly centered on the backs of these cards. Here's another example of my "fatter" AB 350 frame T206's...... ![]() ![]() TED Z T206 Reference . |

Displayed here is an A - B comparison of an AB 460 vs OLD MILL (could be PIEDMONT, SWEET CAP, etc.) with respect

My Doolan is not really a "fat" AB.....however, I do like that it's back is well centered.
