That is a nice card and good luck. It is NOT dead centered as you said though. Dead centered means 50/50 all the way around. That one isn't close, sorry.

Too each their own. I think the centering left to right is 50/50. I also think in general, the top to bottom is 50/50 with the only exception being the bottom right corner. But the corner is worn which actually "cuts" into the centering. Looks pretty straight away to me, no?

This really isn't a debate. The size is a fact. You are incorrect on each count. Even with only the naked eye it's not too close. I had a PM from a member saying the same thing after my post .

I would venture to guess 55/45'ish left to right and 60/40'ish top to bottom.....still nicely centered but not perfectly centered. Even taking the tilt into account you can see it, to me, by the bottom 2 front edges.

Like I said, I respect your opinion. Looks 50/50 to me. I went ahead and took an un-altered pic of just the left to right and just the top to bottom. What’s it look like to you? I mean Leon, you can’t say it’s not even close and then say the centering is 55/45 and 60/40! I’d call that pretty close. I guess I’d challenge you to find a better centered PSA 5 of the card.

It's a very nicely centered card, but it is wrong to say it's dead centered. It's not. My advice -- post a MUCH bigger pic and save the hype, let a good pic speak for itself.

It's a nicely centered card. It's not close to perfectly centered. I collect nicely centered cards. To say it's perfectly centered isn't correct. Here is a scan I have on my website of some of my T205s. It is a LARGE Scan I doubt many, if any, of them are perfectly centered. Ok, there might be a few to keep the argument real. But they are scarce as hens teeth!! Your card, to my naked eye, isn't close to dead centered. It's semantics but it's also what I collect...
And your challenge of finding a nicer one has nothing to do with the debate on it's centering. Nothing personal at all in all of this chatter, great debate about this stuff and one I love to have. There are so many people who say perfectly centered and 98+% of the cards in question probably aren't. I wish the sellers would say something like "great centering" or "best centering I have seen on this card" or whatever. But if you are going to throw out "perfectly centered" or 50/50 centering then it should be perfectly centered. I might give a leniency of 1% either or both ways, to attain perfect centering, due to the machines used to cut them and so forth.
Thanks again for the conversation about it.

Great card. But when sellers over hype the card, it makes me think there might be another issue. Or maybe there's an issue with the seller. I like good, honest descriptions. But take nothing away its a great card glws

Thanks!!!! And btw, anyone but a nutcase (like me) might call your card dead centered. But when that is exactly what you try to collect then you are pickier than the avg collector (as I am). Once again, thanks for the debate and good luck with the great card. It really is a nice one and is centered better than almost all others!!

This ended nicely. That is a very special Goudey and what a terrific T205 grouping. I wish that I had been more sensitive regarding centering many years ago. It really bothers me currently.

Yes, nice to see civility come through on this discussion. All too often missing these days, especially on the internet. Thanks to both participants for a willingness to be open to the discussion without getting personal.
Happy 4th!
