Brooklyn Dodger 1955 Team photo

Good Evening Net Community,

I purchased this photo on a whim because it looked a little different then then usual 1955 Brooklyn Dodger Team photo. i know this is a common photo, but this one in particular just seemed somewhat different then the others. Please see attached photos. There appears to be some type of marking on the bottom left corner. Any thoughts on what this could be?
