Help - NY Highlander history question

A question came up on my FB site, the white hat with the bill as shown on the t206 cards, Ball, Lake, Klienow-batting, Manning-batting, Chase-whitecap and Hemphill. Did this hat ever exist ???? Can't find any reference anywhere if they even wore this hat.

Any help would be appreciated !!!
