Do the vertical sheets contain the same group of players as the horizontal sheets?

Yes the same 240 stamps are on both. But you need 24 horizontal panels to complete the set. There is a thread I started in postwar cards where I ask similar questions. Seems vertical is the way they were issued in packs and are tougher to get than horizontal. Based on input from members.

What I really want yo know if the vertical and horizontal panels match with the same 12 players?... I collect Brooks Robinson and have the horizontal panel... Would the vertical Brooks panel have the same 11 other players?

There IS a difference in the 12 players from each sheet, but not the 4-player group around your player of choice. For example Hank Aaron is next to Eddie Fisher and has Hundley/Alvis below on both the Vertical strips and the Horizontal strips, but the other 8 players differ on each of these strips.

Another good example in on the 12stamp vertical Clemente and Bench are on the same sheet. On the 12stamp horizontal, Bench is not on that sheet.

Here is Brooks sheet as you can see 8 players are different between vertical and horizontal. And the perforation is not the same.
