Can anyone say they have seen or know what the fuzzy appearing white is, seemingly around, possibly on this card? Is it in the card, or part of the slab? Not sure and never seen it. Doesn't smell funny or appear to be any moisture.

Any 'stabbed' card is likely to have a hole in it.

Is that frosting? If so, the slab might have been opened at one time.

It's tough to take this thread seriously until the title of the thread is fixed.

You are right, it would make better sense if it was titled "SLABBED", BUT I GUESS IT CAN'T BE CHANGED UNLESS YOU HAVE SOME ADVICE.

You may want to redo this entire posting. When you're asking about something 'white,' I guarantee virtually everyone is looking at the huge, bright white area cutting (stabbing?) through the top of the card and into Wilt's last name…and not the areas you are actually referring to.

My favorite part of this thread is that the "L" and "T" keys are not at all close to each other on a keyboard

Condition of stabbed card - I'm no doctor, but I would say 'critical, but stable'.

Good point. The bright white house cutting into Chamberlain is not my issue. That is a reflection. I am referring to the white you see all over, including to the side of the card. Moisture did cross my mind, but never saw this result. Either wet (which it was not), or moldy from being wet.

Yep, likely stuck to the plastic after that

It's not good whatever it is. Looks like condensation that has dried. We used to see this a lot on after market tail light housings my company used to sell. Hopefully most TPG and collectors make sure their cards are in mylar.
Paper touching plastic over time is not good. Back before TPGs, dealers used to sell cards in thick screw down holders. The thicker the holder the pricier the card was. Many times they had the holder so tight, when you went to unscrew it, the card would stick to the holder. In extreme cases the paint would even stick to the thick plastic holder. It wasn't until later I learned you could freeze the holder with the card and that would prevent it from sticking.

I would probably take that card out, wipe it off and start over.

And I would be careful if I did take it out. Some of the card could be sticking to the slab !!
