Default A Couple of Oddball T206's - Need Direction Please!

Hey all. I just got a large collection of T206's in today and there are a couple odd ones I could use some help with. First off is the Eddie Collins. At first look, nothing strange, but when held on an angle, the front is glossy. It really doesn't look to me like a lacquer was added afterwards, it actually looks like it came like this. Any clues? The next one is the Hahn. Again, nothing out of the ordinary except for the back stamp. Is this one of those stamps that commands a premium or just a run of the mill one? I am trying to come up with fair pricing so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Tony

Default Who knows?

The Hahn could have been owned by one of his relatives...

No premium for that stamp.

I have never heard of a glossy front on a T206 -- can you take a few pictures on an angle so that it shows the sheen? I am curious if it is complete and even.

As far as I am concerned, there is never a bad time for a Ferris Bueller reference.

Hope these help. That is not glare from a flash (didn't use one). It really is that glossy.

I had a Buehler Bros stamp on the back of an M116 Gessler. IIRC, it looked like they were a news agent in the St. Louis area, but there were also a Buehler Bros dairy in St. Joseph, MO and a Buehler Bros meat market in Lima, OH at around the right time. Probably as valid a collectible as other commercial backstamps, but good luck getting a premium. I sold mine a few years back to someone who was collecting them; don't remember who.

The last glossy card that I had was a T205 not a t206 and it was fake.

Interesting about the gloss. Perhaps a collector glued cards into an album or something.

I'd be shocked if this was a fake. It really looks vintage and real to me. The glossy finish is really odd though.
