Hey,

Picked this up from ebay because I thought it looked unique. It's a great great shot of the Mick. I have search far and wide for a comp (google, my vintage card bible, etc) and can NOT find this sucker anywhere. It's glossy on the front and blank/rougher on the back. Does anyone have any ideas? I was thinking a spalding or rawlings premium but nope. Also thought one of those Matty's premiums but nope as well.

That image was used in the "12 action pictures" set that sold for 75cents. Also included Stengel,kubek,skowron,Lopez,ditmar,turley,Howard,f ord,Richardson,Maris and Berra.
I also have a set with that image with Bauer,Berra,Carey,Collins,ford,Howard,Larsen,mcdou gald,Martin,skowron,turley
This is also a 12 action picture set.

I am not the original owner of either of these sets but have seen these before for sale so I am reasonably sure they are accurate. I do have the envelopes that they came in and the names are printed on it. No scanner but someone out there probably has them and can load it up as I don't think they are that rare but they are cool.

$75-100ish depending on condition. Just my thoughts and what I'd pay if I were looking.

Hi hater! I figured it was worth 50-100. I paid like 60 something cause I thought it looked cool and hadn't seen one with that image. Bro you hate on every single post I make. Such a tool bag

No problem at all. I should give credit to AustinMike, who is one of the more knowledgeable people I know on team issues Mantles, as I believe I got the year from him. I think you got it for a fair price given the condition. If I was in the market, I would have jumped at that. Premium photos are a weird collectible. You can get a really awesome vintage piece for a fraction of what a card from the same era would bring. I'm a huge fan of them, although the difficulties identifying them complicate the whole process.
