Too deep for my pockets, but here is a link to an auction that has a copy of the Federalist Papers for sale. This copy has an interesting past.
The signature, on every title page, of Samuel Boyd makes this interesting. Samuel Boyd was also a strong Federalist, and it states he was a local business man and associated with Alexander Hamilton. But they did not say was that Samuel Boyd was a prominent attorney of the legal team of Boyd and Day, located in Philadelphia. This legal team handled other Alexander Hamilton legal matters, as well as business investments with Hamilton. Samuel Boyd's father was a Robert Boyd Jr., who was a prominent business man as well as an elected sheriff of New York in the latter 1700s. He helped organize the first inaugural parade of George Washington, and rode his own white horse in Washington,s parade. Samuel Boyd's signature on each title page, of this first edition, may indicate that he helped write the Federalist Papers, or acted in the legal aspects in its creation. What a great piece of history for you history buffs out there. http://www.baumanrarebooks.com/rare-...st/104669.aspx

And let me guess, you are Samuel Boyd's younger brother?

Scott,
I wish, however, he is a distant cousin. But no direct family line to him.

I thought this thread was going to be about the formation of the Federal League (1913-1915). Very disappointing
