I found two of these recently while going through some old boxes of cards that I never looked at. I may have some more. Can anyone tell me what they are worth? Thanks!

No idea, sorry. But you might do better on the post-war side.

They are fairly scarce and very popular. Nice find. Let me know if you are dealing them and what you would want for the Davis. Always wanted a Dodger type card from that set.

I have the set ( 12). In good condition they can be pricey. Some are scarcer than others. Different stamps or no stamps can be found on the backs. There are two subjects with front variations, Maloney and Fairly ( with or without dugouts showing). There are 3 unissued proofs of players not in the set, and a Brooks Robinson prototype. All very pricey. The highest priced of the 12 set subjects is the Clemente. The Maloney and Fairly are the easiest to find. The two you have are less common but easier to find than some of the others.
Here is an article from SCD on them by Olbermann, and some other articles: http://www.sportscollectorsdigest.co...irky_1968_3-ds http://www.sportscollectorsdigest.co...irky_1968_3-ds http://toppsarchives.blogspot.com/20...imensions.html http://www.sportscollectorsdaily.com...-3-d-baseball/ Last edited by ALR-bishop; 09-20-2015 at 06:57 PM. |

Al most certainly does. There seems to be something about completionists from Texas. I apologize for this semi hijack: Al, did you happen to get your '57 Bakeup error from my dad?

I'll PM you the story behind that card. I now know exactly who you are. My father holds you in high esteem. He called you one of the good ones.
