Pretty card. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at what it fetches at an AH.
Also, awesome Capone quote.

Here's a neophyte question: why is it graded "A"?

nice looking card. I cant tell, but maybe someone tried soaking it or bleaching of sorts. Looks like the top right corner is fishy being wet and the back/reverse, i cant tell if its residue or paper loss or from cleaning.
Despite these, its a very nice card, and as MattyC mentioned, you should see a good return thru a AH.
I havent seen many Mantle RCs, being listed, since the last REA auction.

There actually more Mantle RCs for auctions recently I have seen in 2 years...but not many 'A' grades ....the PSA 4s are now the rage..coming out like the PSA 5s used to show up in auctions last few years and asking for the same prices ..

I believe the right white edge was fixed or rebuilt, you can still see a rectangle piece missing on it. The back edge looks like it was glued and then separated from a album.

It does display really nicely, I bought it for the appearance of the card and not the holder its in. I know people snicker if its not graded a numeral grade but some of the PSA 1's I see for more money then mine are so beat up not sure why anyone would want that to display. Just my thoughts....

Thanks for the interest and feedback guys.
