OT: Savannah to Columbia
Well, it's official, Sand Gnats are moving to Columbia in 2016:
http://www.milb.com/news/article.jsp..._l116&sid=l116 BUT !!!!!!!!!!!! Don't worry Sand Gnats fans, Savannah WILL have a SAL team in 2016 (2017 latest). Savannah was one of the original SAL teams in 1903. They also have, by far, the longest affiliation with the league. The SAL will NOT allow that history to die. Expect either Hagerstown or Hickory franchise (possibly Kannapolis) in Savannah. It may mean a realignment of divisions, even to a three division league (5-6-5), but it will happen. Good old Red Murch will still have a chance to catch that fly ball he's been waiting for for over 100 years !!!!!!!!!!!  168.jpg
