Gehrig Homerun Baseball ???
So i bought this 1928 New York Yankees team signed baseball signed by Ruth, gehrig, etc. But on one side it has writing that looks to say "Gehrig's 29th homer 6-22-28 and two words that are probably the teams. But Gehrig didn't hit 29 homeruns in 1928 and the Yankees never played on June 22nd 1928. I looked at Gehrig's homeruns and it wasn't till 1931 he hit a homerun on 6/22. I did see Gehrig hit his 29th career homerun on 7/22/1926. The baseball is a 1925-27 model.
So what do you guys make of it?? It could have been a homerun and they messed up every single detail on it or it was wrote after the fact and they never fact checked. Last edited by yanks12025; 12-13-2014 at 07:28 AM.
