In Ultra-Pro pages (either 9 pocket, 8 pocket, or "tobacco" sized pocket) in BCW binders (they are higher quality than Ultra Pro, in my opinion, and last longer.

Inside a Card Saver either in a double row shoe box (for Card Saver II's) or a vault box (for Card Saver I's).
I used to used binders, but not anymore. Nothing wrong with them, but I like individual protection rather than a 8 or 9 pocket page. |

Shoebox boxes or the four row boxes.
Loose, penny sleeves or penny sleeve in a toploader depending on the card. A handful of cards in other sorts of holders. I really miss the old four rows that would fit toploaders. Steve B |

I keep my ungraded singles/stars in penny sleeves and toploaders. For my sets, I used to have them also in sleeves/toploaders, but this was cumbersome and heavy. I enjoy looking at the sets frequently so I recently switched to Ultra Pro Platinum 9-pocket sheets and Ultra Pro binders. This makes it much easier.

Count me in as a 9-pocket/binder type of guy. But I won't use them for sets until I am at least 50% complete. I just don't like thumbing through binders of empty pages. Until I have enough, they either stay in penny sleeves (commons) or penny sleeve/top loaders for better cards.

Graded cards are stored in chipwood boxes from A Box Factory. They're pretty much identical to the old MJ Rupp boxes.
http://aboxfactory.com/index.php/collectors.html The chipwood boxes are $45. The wooden boxes are $90. My more expensive cards are going into my safe deposit box. Bowman Chrome prospect autograph cards go in Ultra Pro 35 pt one touch cases. Gold magnet = UV protection My ungraded T206 and Goudey cards are in Card Saver IIs My ungraded 1975 Topps cards are in Card Saver Is Everything else is in penny sleeves, top loaders and team bags. My McFarlane collection is still pretty new, so I haven't figured out how I'll be doing them yet.

I'm all over the board on this one. I have several sets in binders, (regular three ring and MJ Roop boxes) a few sets in card savers and some simply in penny sleeves. My graded cards are in boxes, but I'm looking for the kind of storage that Bill mentioned in his post just need to get them ordered.
For what it's worth I find myself looking mostly at the sets in binders or graded cards, it's not as easy to look at the sets in penny sleeves or cards savers. Also, I store all my sets in binders on their sides to avoid any damage to the cards due to pages sagging. Hope this helps.

I keep one or two cards out on a bookshelf. Right now, it is a 52 Topps Pafko and a 59 Home Run Derby Mantle, both in slabs. The rest I store in top loaders in a fire safe.

My sets are stored in penny sleeves in cardboard boxes. Im collecting T205 graded they are in the "vault" boxes. The three 3200 count boxes hold the non sports sets I'm working on. Two of the three binders hold 1960s Topps insert sets and odd sized stuff. The other binder is my in progress T206 set. Newer Topps sets 1980-1992 relegated to some random closet

I personally soft sleeve and top load all my vintage cards then store in 3 wide boxes by year. This can get rather expensive, but totally worth it in my opinion.

You did not mention what you collect. I collect ungraded sets, and store/display them in Binders with 9 pocket sheets for easy access. If I collected graded cards or individual cards from different years I would not use binders
