I was perusing the ol' Craigslist and came across a book described as A Waterman's 1932 Autograph Album. It includes Ruth, Cobb, Connie Mack, Foxx...all told it has 85 + signatures. I've never heard of this collection and was wondering if anyone else has? Let me go ahead and say I certainly have no intentions of purchasing. I have a hard time coming up with 50.00 for stuff much less the 20,000.00 this person is asking! Just wondering if any of you are familiar with it. Thanks.

Yes - you see them for sale from time to time. It was actually a competition in the 1930s.

That's pretty cool. They all seem to be cut autos. Is the 20,000.00 asking price outrageous or reasonable?

Just being on Craigs List instead of a major auction screams SCAM to me.
Can you post a link, if there are photos in the ad? |

As stated above, was a contest for several years from at least 1929 - the 1930's from the Waterman Pen company. I saw an article that stated there were 15,000 entrants in 1929 alone, so there should be quite a few autograph books out there (with various amounts of autographs) available.
