Sure do and I should have gone more often in 1983 to Roy Boy's as I called that place. Actually a tolerable fast food joint in the way Arby's is today

I think Roy rogers was the first that let you put your own toppings on. And had bacon cheeseburgers before the others.
I missed these, but the Waterbury CT store had free tickets to the Waterbury Angels. Like just sitting on the counter free. Sometime 1984-87. I still have some. Steve B |

Good old MSA, not the best looking cards but always fun to collect. Too bad their cards don't seem to be around anymore.

What made these unique was that the card was the soda lid itself. You purchased a soda and the card was on top of your soda. A red plastic edge was around the card to hold it to the top of the soda cup. I have a set somewhere and will try and post Pics later. Only issued NY/NJ Tough set.

I must correct myself I looked and only have 5 of the 12 lids in the set. I also had an article I saved looks like from the scd about the lids and it states that each local restaurant would receive between one and three cases of lids with each case holding 2500 lids and that the lids would be printed in a relatively small press run. It also says that on the cup of soda were directions on how to remove the disc from the red lid "Snap back edge of plastic lid rim edge all the way around .Pop out the disc save and trade" I kept mine in lids Guidrey, Gossage, Nettles, Kemp, Randolph. Each disc is meant to be a soda topper so has cutout for inserting a straw.
