Unusual (?) signed 1933 Goudey Luke Sewell
I found this signed 1933 Goudey Luke Sewell today in a collection that's new to the hobby. I've never collected much in the way of autographed cards, so perhaps Sewell signed all of his '33 Goudey cards this way: "This is Steve O'Neil"

I just reread the title of my post and realized it might seem like I'm questioning whether the card itself is unusual. I'm actually wondering whether Sewell signed most of his '33 Goudeys with this inscription. (Matt's post shows Luke was 100 percent correct.)

I don't know anything about how Luke usually signed Goudeys, but that is interesting. Luke knew that wasn't him and maybe was a bit ticked off about it. Very cool autograph!

Really neat card. Reminds me a lot of my Snodgrass batting. Have often wondered why Fred said this on his batting pose. Maybe he thougt he was signing the catching pose this way? He was, after all, remembered for being a centerfielder.
