I read that Traynor's brother Art joined the Pirates at spring training in 1926. Prior to the start of the season, they sent him to Columbia of the Sally League. From what I could find, Art lasted just 5 days with the Comers and was released. I found this photo and a few write-ups in the Columbia newspapers today. Surprisingly, Art ended up in Sing Sing within a few years.
Does anyone have any other photos of brother Art to share? I wonder where else he played? The baseball-reference.com site has nothing. Last edited by John V; 12-05-2013 at 03:50 PM. |
