World Series "I was there" material, 1903-1919
With the World Series about here, I thought folks might like to see material associated with the early Series games (1903-1919) that come from the perspective of the fan, with an emphasis on letters or postcards that discuss the goings-on. The 1919 items shown are notable for different reasons, of course. Click HERE, click "show all" at the bottom, and open any image for a better look and more information. When you're done, click "All The Photos" in the upper left for more, including loads of postcards. (I need one contemporaneous to the 1918 World Series if anyone has one to contribute).

I enjoyed visiting your website. I have bookmarked it, and plan to spend time looking around when I have more time. Interesting collecting subject.
It's really nicely done, especially the comments with each photo. My only problem is reading the print on the black background. Older guys have a problem with that, at least this older guy does.
